EU publiceert standaardtekst databescherming contracten
De Europese Commissie heeft enkele standaard contracutele bepalingen gepubliceerd, die kunnen worden opgenomen voor databescherming en bescherming van de privacy bij aanbestedingen. Volgens de Europese Commissie bieden de standaardclausules voldoende waarborg dat de data door private partijen goed wordt beschermd.
De clausule wordt dan ook gebruikt onder alle contracten die de DBUDG, het budgettaire directoraat generaal dat verantwoordelijk is voor inkopen en aanbestedingen van de Europese Commissie ingezet.

ARTICLE I.8 – DATA PROTECTION
Any personal data included in the Contract shall be processed pursuant to Regulation (EC) No
45/2001 on the protection of individuals with regard to the processing of personal data by the
Community institutions and bodies and on the free movement of such data. Such data shall be
processed solely for the purposes of the performance, management and monitoring of the
Contract by [entity] acting as data controller without prejudice to possible transmission to the
bodies charged with monitoring or inspection task in application of Union law.
